Early Reassurance Scan

Service Description

Appointment length approximately 15 minutes (scan length lasts approximately 10 minutes) The Sonographer will use the Abdominal probe primarily, if they do not have the views they require to perform the checks they need to, they can use the Transvaginal (Internal) Probe. This will only be done with your consent. The scan is to provide reassurance and are alongside your hospital scans. The scan comes with a medical report - This will be completed by the Sonographer and kept on your file on the machine. If you do need to be referred to your local hospital, this will be printed out for you to take if the hospital does request it. 1 printed image (additional photos can be purchased for £5) Estimated dating of your pregnancy Please note that before 6 weeks, we may not be able to see baby's heartbeat which is one of our main checks. If you are unsure of your dates and want to come for the scan to get more of an estimated dating this is also fine, just let the team know upon booking. We do require a £30 deposit when booking the scan Please note that we are a non-diagnostic clinic which means that if the Sonographer finds any abnormalities then we will refer you to your local hospital. **PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY PAIN OR BLEEDING, YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT YOUR CHOSEN HOSPITAL OF CARE FOR YOUR SCAN**
