Ultrasound Training at Baby Bump HQ

We are so excited to finally announce that Baby Bump is going to be offering a Non-Diagnostic Training Course.

Baby Bump was established in 2019 and how grown rapidly in the past 5 years. We have the most competent Sonographers who have been working in Sonography for many years. The Sonographers we have also work in the local hospital performing Diagnostic scans.

What will happen on the course?

On the Non-Diagnostic Training course, you will learn:

What you need to start your own private scan clinic
How the process works with the Care Quality Commission
The basics of ultrasound
How to identify abnormalities in Ultrasound

The modules you need to complete will be both in the classroom and in the clinic where you will be watching our Sonographers in action.

The course will be delivered by the Registered Manager of the clinic who has experience in opening and running the clinic and the NHS, Diagnostic Sonographers that work at Baby Bump.

Why is the course called Non-Diagnostic but you have Diagnostic Sonographers?

To work within a private scan clinic (as long as it is Non-Diagnostic), you do not need to have any Diagnostic Qualifications in Sonography.

At Baby Bump, we have fully qualified, NHS Sonographers which means that they will be able to show you the different types of abnormalities that could be detected in Ultrasound scanning. Non-Diagnostic scan clinics do not have to identify abnormalities but it is good if you can understand the different abnormalities that can occur and how to deal with them if they arise.

What will I take away from the course?

Once you have completed the course, you will be able to perform basic ultrasound scans. You will also have the knowledge required to open your own scan clinic if you wish. Baby Bump is a very well-known scan clinic and provides the highest standard of care delivered by very competent Sonographers with many years’ experience. Once you have completed the course, you will be able to contact us whenever you like to ask questions.

How long is the course?

The course will be over 4 days. This will be split between 2 days in the classroom and 2 days in the clinic watching and learning how to perform basic scans.
